The Rest...

It occurred to me I have more to write.

Yesterday, I got my new Social Security card in the mail - complete with my new last name. How rad! And I got a note saying that the rest of my silverware is at the post office. So I'll go get that later.

I'm on the "assimilation team" at Vineyard. I think there's 5 of us. The goal is to help new people get involved and really find a home in their new church. Not so complicated. But I had no earthly idea what that would entail when I agreed to do it and I'm in over my head. There's some work I can totally handle. I'm very comfortable and confident with PADS. We're talking right now about me taking over a leadership role with it for the summer. But this team I'm on I'm swamped under. It's not at all the people (all of whom I was already friends with). It's just the nature of what we're doing. Maybe that's not very specific. But anyway, it's stressing me.

Vineyard has a Good Friday service coming up that's being done by the church's arts group. Our friend, John, is in charge of that group. So we've been hearing bits and pieces about it. David and I are both laughing 'cause neither of us has ever been to a Good Friday service and we have no clue what one really is. But this oughta be good. We have a very high number of artists and musicians in our house group. I'm not sure how many of them will be directly involved. Everyone's looking forward to it though.

Ya know, I guess the 3 things that never end are cooking, dishes, and laundry. They're like the only 3 housework things you can't procrastinate on. I'm glad I like at least one. We'd otherwise starve to death. However, I've noticed a catch; the more food I have cooked and ready, the faster I seem to get hungry. Anybody else notice this problem?

Ok. That's all.
