To Keep You Comin'...
Hi. I'm seriously just on here to keep you coming back. I suspect that in about 2 more weeks, things will have settled down, and I'll be back to my regularly scheduled once-a-week blogging. Like with substance even. Now wouldn't it be lame for me if you'd gotten out of the habit of checking in during these busy weeks of mine?
So, here's what's up:
Molly's screaming at me.
I counted the baby guppies once more. I was trying to sex them, as they're nearly a month old. It didn't work. I ended up just taking them from their baby net and putting them in a larger (out of tank) container. We'd thought there were 98, and that about 20 must've died. The net didn't look full enough. Yeah right. There're 102. I'm stoked!
Maybe in another month I'll be able to start seperating boys and girls. Meanwhile, I know I've got all the boys away from their mother.
I'm still trying to finish Bethel's Healing School on DVD. There are 13. I have 3 left.
A friend gave me a Hebrew-Greek key study Bible. Love it. Did you know there are 2 different definitions of "punish" in Greek? One is what we usually think of as "punish." It's the definition that has everything to do with the hissy fit the offended person is throwing. It has to do with that person's hateful revenge. The other is what we'd think of as "discipline." It's done simply for the good of the offender - a kindness to them if you will. And then Greek also has "discipline," which seems mainly verbal as opposed to corporal. Just found it interesting.
All that leads me to think of something I realized a few months ago: If your heart is in the right place, God can rebuke you with a hug.
I'm the official "testimony collector" for our church now. It means that I collect the stories of physical healings. We have no shortage. :)
Because of this, our photo was in the bulletin last week. A 5 year old girl took the bulletin to David Sunday. She held it up, looked at him, and said, "You have on lipstick."
Monday, I had a friend from church over for board games, tea, and a walk. Lovely lady I tell you. Lovely.
Wednesday, I went to the house of another woman from church to help her organize her office. We got to throw stuff away! I love throwing stuff away. It's such an adrenaline rush. It really is the best way to organize. Stuff in the dumpster never has to be messed with again. (Ok, neither does stuff you take to Goodwill.)
Friday night, our Friday night group and another ministry from church teamed up. We had an actual Sunday-morning-type service. I prayed for 3 people afterwards. Through each, God made it clear to me that he's hearing what I'm praying at home. Not that I'll go into detail, but WOW.
Things like that are hard to tell you about. If you recognize him talking to you too, then you'll easily accept it and be pleased. If you don't, I'm afraid you'll just stare at it. But what's a girl to do? I still can't really talk detail. This issue bothers me.
I can tell you that I've kept having a daydream of me doing something, and Friday night it happened. And I can tell you I had a big ole sparkle on my forehead afterward.
Saturday night, our Friday night group made dinner for 50 people. David and I were in charge of the mashed potatos. We have hysterical pictures, if you want. Facebookers, they're on my profile.
Oh, David gave me a book for Valentine's. It's called The Shack. I've been told atleast 3 times I HAVE to read it. And atleast 3 others have commented that it's quite amazing.
Forgive the lack of pictures. They take forever.
